TRANSPLANTS PROCEDURE

Transplant operations are performed on an outpatient basis, with mild sedation (optional) and injected local anaesthesia, which typically last about six hours.For the ease of understanding this intricate process we can divide the entire process of Hair Transplant in two sessions that are usually completed within the same day;

Session – I:

The hair line is designed and discussed with the patient. Area to be transplanted is discussed, necessary hair trim is done. The scalp is thoroughly cleaned with antibacterial agent. Local anesthesia is administered to make donor area numb. Extractions of follicles begin, once the donor area is numb.

Session – II:

Slits are made at the recipient area with the help of micro blade. Slits are made in various plans, according to the density to be provided, angles & directions of hair etc.
Once slits are done, grafts are placed gently within the slits. At the end of the procedure, a light dressing is done which is removed next morning.
